The Reford Gardens are managed by the Friends of the Reford Gardens. This non-profit corporation, recognized as a charitable foundation, serves to promote the ERE 132 project. The primary goal of the organization is to preserve the unique character of the Reford Gardens. Its mission also comprises a cultural and educational component.

The corporation, the Friends of the Reford Gardens, plays an important role regionally in the promotion of tourism, economic development and job creation. It has received several awards, notably the Gérald Roussel award from la Fédération des caisses populaires Desjardins du Québec for its remarkable community involvement.

Since 1995, the Reford Gardens also had the honour of earning 4 awards from the Grand prix du tourisme québécois, of which they were the recipient of the top award in 2000 and 2001. In 2007, the International Garden Festival was honored with the Prix Hector-Fabre from Quebec’s Ministère des Relations internationals et de la Francophonie, for its contribution to the excellence of the international profile of both the Lower Saint Lawrence and the Gaspé region.
